ジュエリーシーンのいま

2024年1月17日から20日まで東京ビッグサイトでIJT（国際宝飾展）が開催されています。
今回は国内外約720社が出展しているそうです。
私も初日に、ニューヨークから来日中のジュエリークラフトマンの友人と視察に行ってきました。円安の影響もあり外国人、特に中国人のバイヤーの多いこと！
飛び交っている言葉もほとんど外国語でとても活気がありました。
中でも日本のリユース市場はまだまだ盛り上がっていて、会場の三分の一を占めている印象です。
でもやっぱり欧米のジュエラーの数は少なく、当たり前だけど自ら外に出て行かないと新しい出会いは難しいなと感じました。
私たちビセントでは、いまどこのジュエリーシーンが盛り上がっていて新しいことが起きているかを常にウォッチし、毎年直接買い付けに回っています。
奇抜である必要はないけれど、身につけた時に新しい自分に気がつくような そんなワクワクするジュエリーに出会いたい。
これからこのジャーナルではそんなワクワクを、新しいジュエリーの魅力的な香りをお届けしたいと考えています！

Jewelry Scene Now

IJT (International Jewelry Tokyo) is being held at Tokyo Big Sight from January 17 to 20, 2024.
About 720 companies from Japan and abroad are exhibiting at this year’s show.
On the first day of the show, I went to visit with a friend of mine who is a jewelry craftsman visiting Japan from New York. Due to the depreciation of the yen, there were many foreign buyers, especially Chinese!
The language being spoken was almost exclusively in foreign languages, and the place was very lively.
The Japanese reuse market is still thriving, and I got the impression that it made up one-third of the venue.
However, the number of  jewelers from Europe and the US are still small, and I felt that it is difficult to meet new people unless you go out on your own.
We  always keep an eye on where the jewelry scene is booming and what’s new, and every year we go out to buy directly.
We want to find exciting jewelry that doesn’t have to be eccentric, but that makes you feel like a new person when you wear it.
We hope to bring you such excitement in this journal from now on, and the charming scent of new jewelry!
